Description

The diamond's weak spot is the wings: how to get help across and what to change depending on how your opponent plays.

The follow-up to “How to play the diamond”. The diamond’s weak spot is the flank: how to bring help from the CM, the CAM or a striker without pulling the CDM out of the middle, and what to change, and what not to, when the opponent sits deep, presses high or keeps hurting you out wide.

What you will learn

  • Defend the 2v1 on the wing with help from the CM, without pulling the CDM out of the middle.
  • Be aggressive with cover ready, and let go of R1 if the press breaks your shape.
  • Against a deep block, use your full-back to move them and then break through the middle.
  • Against a high press, attack the space left by the defender who steps up.
  • Three questions to ask before changing tactics if you're getting hurt out wide, and what to tweak.

Who it is for

For players who already use the diamond. Watch «How to play the diamond in FC 27» first.

When to use it

When your opponent attacks down the wings, parks the bus or presses high.
